Amryn Soldier graduated from University of North Carolina at Asheville with a Bachelor of Arts concentrating in photography. Amryn’s work has been published in print and online in a variety of media but most recently in the Southern Regional Honors Arts Council Literary Magazine and was chosen for the Best in Art Award. Also, her work was featured as the cover with a two page interview in Suwanee Life Magazine. Amryn’s TEDxUNC-Asheville talk, “The Paralyzing Nature of Fear”, is her most noteworthy accomplishment. She describes her process and how working with self portraiture forces her into vulnerable situations and uncomfortable positions in order to dissolve the fears and insecurities associated with self-representation.
