dead skin cells on dead blankets hanging on dead door hinges to dry / i keep trying to
tell everyone that those sheets are dead but the dead don’t talk / i’m daring to drop dead
down on the ground, trampled by dead leaves because no one will hear me because
the dead don’t talk/there’s a dead girl hiding behind the dead blankets with the dead
skin cells the one hanging on the dead door hinge to dry / she stares with dead eyes
and dares me to tell but the dead don’t talk / there’s a noose hanging from the ceiling
made from dead tree roots from a dead tree sitting in a dead field covered in dead
leaves / that’s the field where the dead girl died a boy with dead eyes pushed his cold
hands into her ribs and shoved her down into the dead field with the dead leaves
crushing underneath her and the dead roots that the noose is made from digging into
her back / i pulled down the dead blankets that the dead girl hides herself behind and
made a better noose from than the one made from the dead roots/the dead door hinges
creak with relief now that the dead skin cells aren’t adding all that weight / now i put the
noose around my neck because i can’t take the dead girl staring at me because i won’t
tell anyone that the dead girl with the dead eyes who hid behind the dead blankets that
were covered in dead skin cells hanging on dead door hinges to dry the very same girl
who died in that dead field after the boy with the dead eyes pushed his hands into her
ribs and shoved her into the dead leaves with the dead roots underneath her from the
dead tree that made the noose is me
After all, the dead don’t talk.
