Martin has always been a painter in his head and heart but, in common with so many other people, he had to wait until later in life before he had the time and opportunity to start painting on a regular basis until was in his mid fifty's.
However after visiting a local art gallery he got talking to the owner and was invited to paint in the gallery at weekends and that opportunity was the start of him selling work and launching him on an artistic journey that has seen him selling work to many parts of the world.
He went from painting in his spare time to being offered the job as artist / manager in the gallery he had been painting and selling from -the first time I was ever paid to be an artist After three happy, but low paid years, working as artist / manager he found suitable premises to opening his own gallery that he ran for seven years before ''retiring'' to concentrate on his painting full time ... and still loving every moment of it.
