From the director: Marvelous’ story is a proclamation of how much inherent strength women have. As a prostitute, Marvelous, persistently struggles to find and hold onto any shred of happiness she can salvage from the abusive environment she’s living in. Every woman can relate to her struggles because as women, we have had to endure and persevere through unique challenges to find happiness. In the short film we see Marvelous utilizing the setbacks to strengthen her character and her durability. I hope through her story other women can gain strength in the idea that we have been given the unique gift of endurance and perseverance to fight for the happy life we deserve. Trigger warning for portrayals of abuse, prostitution, and suicide.
