We could stand
We could stand by and watch
We could tell ourselves we are not good enough,
that the world we live in will always be male dominated,
That’s life;
subordination
We could stand by and listen
To criticism, to anger
words with no heart
spat in our fat, ugly faces
We must concede
We could stand up and look him in the eye
We could stand up and be proud
We will not be degraded
We do not need to be attractive to be successful
We will not be slaves to male command
We are not pieces of meat
We are woman
We stand up
